Of course, if you were to go with the easier and more convenient DVR option, you could save space and not compromise quality at all. Because DVR has a better compression rate, less space is taken up and the quality of digital is unmatched. Besides this most DVR images can be downloaded straight to a computer and only take up as much space as a file on the computer and can be formatted into a MPEG or JPEG as well.
Besides the obvious advantages of space and quality that can be gained from DVR technology, it can actually save you a lot of money, especially in the long run. That is because the recorder can be used over and over again with compromising quality and therefore more and more tapes do not have to be bought.
